This is dedicated to my year 9 bible study class who are the best sunday school class in the whole world okay let no one tell you different Since last sunday we said we would try not to swear this week. after talking to a few of youse i am under the impression yous have all broken that at least once. THATS OKAY~!! its all a process isnt it? remember, if you have recognised your swearing as sin and you are seriously trying to kill it, well youve pretty much defeated it....... if you don't give up. if you can be trusted with little things, you will be trusted with big things. How little is your tongue!! and how easy is speech. but if you can't even control what you say, everything in life will be hard for you. what you say can define who you are..so careful with your words okay! now i want to clarify something. it is NOT okay to say "oh my God" "God!" "GEEZUS CHRIST" "holy ++++" etc etc. unless you are conversing with God at that very second. for example in prayer you might say "oh my God help me overcome these evil swear words" and thats okay. but if something bad and hateful happens and you say "Oh my God what the hell is this" then it is a swear word, because you have just taken the most holiest word ever and used it not just in vain but to describe a most despicable thing. If even Hitlers name isnt used as a cuss word, why use Gods? He is your saviour. SO yr9sandrew andrew jane jesse helen catherine sam yong victor mathew ian david jenny jennifer sharon every time you swear, repent!! don't let such a small thing like a swear word get in the way of your relationship with God. im pretty sure sooner or later you will get sick of repenting and your badwords will reduce. and just because you swore once doesnt mean you should give up on our mission Good luck! and dont forget to read 1 Corinithians 6 okay! ps. i'm not too keen on youse replacing your swear words with something else. why not try replacing a swear word with a sound like "kerplaplapla" or something. i don't know~~!! ^^
